Biography
Nelson Falcão Rodrigues (Recife, August 23, 1912 – Rio de Janeiro, December 21, 1980) was a writer, journalist, novelist, playwright, short story writer, and chronicler of Brazilian customs and football. He is considered Brazil's most influential playwright.
His plays usually dealt with topics considered taboo by Brazilian society, such as sexuality, virginity and incest, denouncing the hypocrisy of family life in the middle and upper classes.
